The word marble derives the Ancient Greek, and has the meaning of “shining stone”, which gives it the right to take its place among the products that are worked by Giada.
Due to its characteristics of brilliance, plasticity and durability, marble has been widely used since ancient times as a material for sculpture, architecture and rich interior decoration.
But it was during the Roman Empire that marble reached its greatest period of utilization and diffusion. Rome introduced an interest for polychrome marble, and each province of the Empire was expected to give its contribution of stone.
These antique masterpieces, which can be admired in the principal museums and art collections of the world, are reinterpreted today by Giada, and thanks to the expertise of its craftsmen the company has become renowned for its production.
